Getting started

How to reach us

Tell us what the door is doing and roughly where you are - that is enough to know whether it is a same-visit fix or something that needs a part ordered first.

  1. Call and tell us what it’s doing

    (725) 485-3873 - describe the symptom and roughly where you are.

  2. Or send it in writing

Use the request form if it’s easier than talking.

  3. We diagnose on site

A technician tests the door under power and by hand before anything is quoted or replaced.

  4. You approve the plan

You hear what failed and what it takes to fix it - the work starts only after that.

What Comes Next

Call (725) 485-3873 and tell us what the door is doing - won't open, grinding, hanging on one side, whatever it is. We're based at 4171 Distribution Cir in North Las Vegas, NV 89030, and most calls get a tech scheduled out to look at the actual door rather than guess over the phone.

When the tech gets there, they'll check the spring tension, the track alignment, the opener gear, and the cable condition before saying a word about cost. You get a straight answer on whether it's a repair or whether the door's at the point where fixing it is just delaying a bigger bill. We don't push replacement on a door that still has life in it, and we don't pretend a cracked panel or a stripped torsion spring is a five-minute fix either.

If you're not sure the problem is worth a call - a slow close, a door that's a little noisy - just ask. Sometimes it's a fifteen-dollar roller, sometimes it's a sign the opener's motor is on its way out. Either way, you'll know what you're dealing with before anyone touches a wrench.

Work We Turn Down

  1. We cover North Las Vegas and the stretch around it

Sunrise Manor about 8 miles out roughly 10 miles south, Winchester at 11, Whitney at 13, Paradise at 14, Spring Valley at 17, and Summerlin South at 18. Past that radius, we'll tell you so rather than have you wait on a truck that's not coming soon.

  2. We also turn down jobs where the math doesn't work for the homeowner

If a door is old enough and beat up enough that a repair would just be a patch before the next failure, we'll say that instead of billing for a fix that won't hold. And if a part has a long lead time, we're upfront about that too instead of promising a same-week turnaround we can't back up.

  3. We're not the right call for a brand-new install where you already have a specific custom door picked out from a manufacturer we don't stock parts for

We'll tell you that up front rather than take the job and make you wait on backordered hardware.

What We Are Called Out For

A lot of the housing stock around here went up between 1979 and 2006, with the typical house dating to around 1994, and that era of door hardware is what we see the most - steel sectional doors on torsion springs, openers from the same two or three decades that are starting to show their age on the gear and the circuit board.

The other driver is heat. Summers here sit in the severe end of the heat band, and that's hard on nylon rollers, on lubricant that cooks out of bearings, and on steel panels that expand and contract enough over the years to warp or pull away from the frame. Spring failures spike in that kind of heat too - the metal fatigues faster than it would in a milder climate.

Between the age of the stock and the heat, most calls fall into a short list: broken torsion springs, opener motors that have stopped pulling their weight, rollers and hinges worn past smooth operation, and tracks knocked out of alignment. We see fewer calls for brand-new doors simply because there aren't that many brand-new doors in the neighborhoods we're in.

Questions

Frequently asked

Straight answers about garage door repair in North Las Vegas. Still unsure? Ask us directly.

Why does my garage door spring keep breaking?

If your house was built between 1979 and 2006, which covers most of this area, the torsion spring is likely original or close to it. Severe summer heat accelerates metal fatigue in springs, so they wear out faster here than in milder climates. Once one breaks, the other side is usually close behind - we'll check both.

Do you work outside North Las Vegas?

Yes. We get out to Sunrise Manor, Winchester, Whitney, Paradise, Spring Valley, Summerlin South. Distance affects how fast we can get there - closer areas like Sunrise Manor usually mean a tighter same-day window than farther spots like Summerlin South.

Can you always fix an old opener instead of replacing it?

Not always. If your opener dates to the 80s or 90s, parts can be hard to source and sometimes cost close to what a new unit runs. We'll tell you honestly when replacement is the better move instead of billing you for a repair that won't hold.

How fast can you get a part for an older door?

Depends on the part. Common springs, cables, and rollers we carry on the truck. Hardware specific to a door built decades ago sometimes has to be ordered, and we'll tell you that at the time of the visit rather than promise a same-day fix we can't deliver.
