How We Fix It
Most garage doors in Paradise went up around 1987, give or take a few years either side
That means the original hardware on a lot of these doors is the 7-ball steel roller with an open bearing - standard equipment for builders in that era, and cheap to install the first time around. Thirty-some years later, those bearings are dry, the galvanizing is pitted, and the roller stem has usually worn a groove into the track it rides in.
We pull the old steel rollers and track-mount them out, section by section
With the door supported so the panels don't shift. Nylon rollers with sealed bearings go in their place - they run quieter, they don't need the periodic oiling steel rollers demand, and they hold up better against the kind of heat-cycling this part of Nevada sees on a door that sits in full sun half the day. If the track itself is bent or the roller groove is chewed up badly enough, we'll tell you straight - sometimes the track needs replacing along with the rollers, and we won't pretend a new roller fixes a track that's already out of true.
We're not a Paradise-based outfit
We run this work out of North Las Vegas, about 14 miles up the road - but roller jobs are routine enough that the drive doesn't change how the work gets done once we're on site.

Doing It Yourself
Swapping a single roller on a door that's still on its track isn't a bad DIY job if the door is down, the opener is unplugged, and you're working on a roller away from the bottom bracket and its cable. Loosen the roller bracket, slide the old roller and stem out, slide the new one in, retighten.
Where it gets dangerous fast is the top two rollers on either side, the ones nearest the bent track section by the spring. Pulling those with the door under tension from a wound torsion spring is how people lose fingers, not because the roller job is hard but because the spring doesn't care that you're only there for the roller. If your door is from the late 80s stock common around here, there's also a decent chance the rollers have worn the track enough that a straight swap won't seat right - that's a judgment call worth having a second set of eyes on before you commit to doing all ten yourself.
How Long It Takes
A full set of rollers on a standard double door, steel swapped for nylon, runs under two hours once we're on site - most of that time is working carefully near the spring-loaded top section, not the rollers themselves. A single-roller swap on a door that isn't under spring tension is a lot faster.
What adds time is what we find once the door's apart: a track that's bent from a worn roller riding rough for years, or a bottom bracket that's rusted from being outdoors in a yard that gets full sun most of the day. We won't know which doors in your specific case need extra work until we're looking at the hardware, so we give a time estimate after inspection, not before.
How to Book
Call and tell us the door's rough age if you know it
For a lot of Paradise houses that's going to land somewhere near 1987 - and whether the rollers are grinding, binding, or just loud. That alone tells us a lot about what we're bringing in the truck.
We cover Paradise as part of the broader North Las Vegas service area
Driving out from our North Las Vegas base. You can see the rest of what we handle for the area on the Paradise garage doors page.
What You Pay
We don't post a flat roller price here because it depends on how many rollers need replacing and whether the track comes along with it. What we can tell you is that steel-to-nylon roller swaps are one of the more affordable repairs we do - cheaper than an opener replacement, cheaper than new panels - and for a door that's otherwise sound, it's usually the right move instead of replacing the whole unit.
Paradise's median household income sits a bit under the wider service area's, which is part of why we try to steer people toward the repair that actually needs doing rather than upselling a full door when ten new rollers solve the noise and the binding.
